From Misunderstood to Finding Identity in Transformative Support

You have a place here. A home here. An identity here.

What Does This Mean?

Our heart is to reach those who feel alone and misunderstood — because we’ve been there. We’ve loved those who’ve been there. And we want to be a space where no one feels unseen.

What About the FITS Part?

misFITS was born from the idea of having a place to belong — even in a world we don’t always fit into.
FITS = Finding Identity in Transformative Support.

Finding

Emphasis on belonging, rescue, and community in Christ.

Psalm 107:4–9

Some wandered in the wilderness, lost and homeless. Hungry and thirsty, they nearly died. “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress.

Identity

Our identity isn’t shaped by this world, but by being God’s people.

1 Peter 2:10

Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.

Transformative

Embrace who God created you to be and live with purpose.

Romans 12:2

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Support

Love, honor, and build each other up in community.

Romans 12:10

Love each other with genuine affection,[a] and take delight in honoring each other.

Meet our team

Dacey

Dacey is a creative at heart with a deep passion for mental health and community. She’s been happily married to her husband, Robert, since 2021, and they recently welcomed their firstborn daughter—a role she treasures deeply. With years of experience as a lead graphic designer, Dacey has used her creativity to tell stories and connect with others in meaningful ways.

Her interest in mental health began in middle and high school, when she realized that being “wired differently” wasn’t a flaw but a strength. What started as personal research became a lifelong passion for supporting those who feel misunderstood. Dacey plans to return to school to pursue a degree in counseling, and in the meantime, she offers encouragement and support through art, design, and intentional community.
